The Historic Shoals River District is proud to congratulate the 2026 Facade Grant recipients for their commitment to enhancing and preserving the beauty of our downtown community.
The continued growth and revitalization of downtown Shoals is something our entire community can take pride in. Through the 2026 Facade Grant Program, several local businesses have taken meaningful steps to enhance the appearance and longevity of their storefronts—helping preserve the charm and character that make our town so special.
Facade grants are designed to support improvements to the exterior of commercial buildings. This can include updates such as new signage, fresh paint, restored brickwork, window and door enhancements, and improved lighting. These upgrades not only benefit the individual businesses, but also contribute to a more welcoming and vibrant downtown for residents and visitors alike.
This year’s grant recipients have embraced that opportunity. Their investments reflect not only pride in their own businesses, but also a shared commitment to the future of Shoals. Each improvement adds to the overall experience of our historic district—creating a stronger sense of place and encouraging continued growth.
We are incredibly grateful for the businesses that participated in this program. Their efforts help ensure that Shoals remains a place where local businesses can thrive, connections can grow, and our community continues to move forward while honoring its roots.
